NGIN Program at WSC in Turkiye (2025)

The NGIN-ISF Program during the World Seed Congress was a powerful and inspiring experience for youth ambassadors passionate about transforming the agri-food and seed sector. Over several dynamic days, young leaders from diverse countries connected with professionals, exchanged innovative ideas, and contributed to meaningful discussions around sustainable seed systems, social responsibility, and systemic solutions for future food security. The event created a unique space for co-creation, not just representation, where youth voices were taken seriously and empowered to shape the future of the seed industry. It strengthened the motivation of ambassadors, deepened their understanding of the sector, and demonstrated how interdisciplinary collaboration and active participation in global events can be game-changing for creating real-world impact.

NGIN Flagship Event at WFF in Rome (2024)

The NGIN Flagship Event at the World Food Forum was an inspiring and empowering gathering of young leaders, professionals, and experts in the agri-food and seed sector. It created a unique platform where youth ambassadors from diverse countries connected, exchanged knowledge, and engaged in meaningful discussions around sustainability, biotech innovations, food security, and the future of agriculture. The event emphasized intergenerational collaboration, youth action, and the importance of co-creating solutions together with farmers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. Ambassadors had the opportunity to present their ideas, strengthen their networks, and grow personally and professionally, while contributing to the shared goal of building fairer and more resilient food systems.

NGIN actively participated in the World Seed Congress 2024 in Rotterdam, focusing on promoting sustainable seed systems, youth-driven innovation, and policies that support biodiversity. The event gathered global experts, industry leaders, researchers, and young innovators to collaboratively address key challenges in agriculture and seed technology. NGIN provided a valuable platform for youth ambassadors to voice their ideas, contribute to discussions, and co-create solutions that shape the future of the seed industry.

NGIN Program at WFF, Rome (2023)

NGIN participated in the World Food Forum 2023 held in Rome, focusing on global food systems innovation, sustainable agriculture practices, and youth-led solutions to food security challenges. The event gathered global experts, policymakers, and youth ambassadors to exchange ideas and highlight the role of young innovators in transforming the food system.

NGIN Flagship Event AFS Forum in Tanzania (2023)

The Africa Food Systems Forum 2023, held from September 4–8 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, convened over 5,400 delegates from 90 countries under the theme “Recover, Regenerate, Act: Africa’s Solutions to Food Systems Transformation”. The forum emphasized scaling up existing solutions to accelerate food systems transformation across the continent. Discussions focused on empowering women and youth, enhancing climate resilience, and fostering inclusive agricultural innovation.n

NGIN Flagship Event at IFAMA Conference, Costa Rica (2022)

NGIN actively participated in the IFAMA Conference 2022 held in Costa Rica, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices, seed system innovation, and global food systems challenges. The event included interactive workshops, panel discussions, and key presentations led by NGIN ambassadors and experts.

After intense deliberation, our jury selected 3 outstanding winners for our NGIN Photo Competition 2023 “Youth in Agriculture: Part of the Solutions to Climate Change”. Furthermore, the NGIN Community voted for their 3 favourite photos from this year’s photo competition runner-ups.

First Place – 1000 Euro: Obed Yaoseh from Ghana: Seeds of Change, Nurturing a Greener Tomorrow.

Second Place – 500 Euro: Nafesat Lawal from Nigeria: Go Green

“Let’s go green! It’s always fulfilling going green: waste no more and together we can go green!”




Third Place – 200 Euro: Deblina Raj from India: Floating Farm

 

“A female farmer works on a vegetable garden built on a floating platform resistant to flooding water in Sunderban region in India, one of the most vulnerable regions to climate change-induced water level rise and frequent flooding”.

A huge congratulations also to our Community Winners Eric Rukebesha from Rwanda, Oluwatobi Joseph form Nigeria, and Daniel Alayande form Nigeria, as well as to the winner of the Ambassador’s Choice prize – NGIN ambassador from Bolivia, Jhanira Rodríguez.
